Sharon and Jackie are SJ Quilt Patterns: sisters, best friends, twins born 3 ½ years apart. Quilting is our art. We design traditional quilts with a modern twist.

We started sewing in middle school, and quilting when our kids were grown. Combined, we have been quilting for more than 40 years.

Giving someone a quilt is giving them a hug to snuggle up in when you can’t be there. To a child going off to college, a service member going overseas, a parent who lost a child, a couple getting married, a family who lost everything in a fire. It’s giving someone a smile.

In designing quilt patterns, we hope to inspire people to take their sewing machine out of the closet, dust it off, thread the needle, and start sewing.

Our goal is to provide patterns for all skill levels, where the only special tool you need is a desire to make something beautiful.

We want you to succeed, so each pattern includes sewing tips, our unique cutting charts, and easy to follow diagrams. Plus, every pattern is tested and approved.
