Trunk Shows
SJ Quilt Patterns offers three Trunk Shows: Squares & Rectangles, How to Choose Fabrics, and Ways to Revise Your Patterns. Each are approximately 45 to 60 minutes in length. Our goal is to entertain, give hints, teach, and interact with your guild family.
Squares & Rectangles
During our lively 45 minute presentation, we will share antidotes and stories of our quilting adventures while sharing 20-30 quilts of our unique designs. The quilts are from traditional to modern, to eye catching to whimsical. All quilts are pieced using 2 1/2″ squares to large sizes. The quilts vary in size from table runners to queen.
How to Choose Fabric
You fell in love with a pattern but can’t find the fabric that matches the picture: what do you do? We will demonstrate how to audition fabric to make the quilt yours. We will also show some of the good and bad choices we have made.
Ways to Revise Your Patterns
How many patterns do you have? Take a guess. More than 10? More than 20? Too many to count? We all love to purchase patterns. We design patterns, we want you to purchase patterns, we LOVE it when you buy our patterns! But, let’s be realistic, how may quilts do we really need? We will show you how you can take a pattern and make it into something practical – that isn’t a quilt.
